Single Shaft Steam Mixer

Single Shaft Mixers are designed for maximum mixing of steam with high density pulp. These units are available for gravity service and are manufactured in various sizes to suit mill tonnage rates.

The pulp enters the steam mixer through the inlet, which is located on the top of the housing.  Steam is injected through the side mounted connections, the quantity of which is determined by the tonnage rate and temperature increase required.  As the pulp proceeds to the outlet on the bottom of the housing it is subjected to efficient thorough mixing by the specially designed chevron shaped blades.

  • Gravity service only and low pressure steam is required
  • Housing of either stainless steel
  • Rotor of either heavy stainless steel with heavy stainless blade
  • Bearings are grease lubricated, self-aligning antifriction; one free and one held
  • Packing boxes of either stainless and include water inlet and outlet connections, complete with lantern rings and adjustable packing glands
  • Robust design
  • Long lifetime & simple rebuilds
